ANJC 4114 – YEMENI
Massive silver (not sure of content) Yemeni Hirz, a pendant or amulet used to carry prayers or religious scripts. On closer examination, this particular piece feels hollow and looks like it’s been soldered, hence am not certain that it may contain prayers or religious scripts – appreciate it for its beauty and historical journey. It does have the traditional loops on the top where I thread an artist-dyed ribbon; the bottom has six loops from which bells dangle. The beads on the ribbon are from the original cord.
A slide bead on the ribbon allows various lengths.
