    ANJC 3630

For the archeology enthusiasts – this is a large Trilobite fossil which roamed the ocean floors during the Ordovician period, around over 485 million years ago, found in the Silurian sediments of the USA, mostly in New York & Oklahoma. The closest living relative is the horseshoe crab. Please note that this particular specimen may have come out in two pieces from the ground so it was repaired and restored by my source - - you can see where it’s been pieced together.  The fossil is connected to a copper ring. I coated the back side with resin to make it smooth; I left the front as is and will have rough edges, so caution handling it.

The fossil is suspended on red (dyed) Coral sticks

Hand-knotted strand of tan Howlite/Magnesite coins with red seed beads in between

This beauty weighs 5.85 oz (for reference, a standard can of soda/pop weighs 12 oz)

Closure is a seed bead and vintage button toggle

Overall length end-to-end: approx 20 inches, add 5-inch pendant drop

When on, nape to chest:  approx 10 inches, add pendant drop

    Trilobite fossil:  approx 78x50x25 mm

    Coral sticks:  approx 51x10 mm

    Howlite/Magnesite coins: approx 2-5 x 10-16 mm

Colors may vary slightly from what is pictured here due to the natural variation of certain stones and the differences in monitor settings.  A ruler and/or a US one cent coin is pictured with this jewelry piece for component sizing reference. Dimensions measured at the tallest, widest and thickest component sections. Before placing your order, please review store policies in the "About Alexis Noelle" section.
